Founded in 2016, Microbiome Research Pvt. Ltd (MRPL) is Mumbai's only microbiome company in the country with an in-house lab driving some cutting-edge research in the field of Microbiome. At MRPL, we go to the detail understanding of a person’s health through the functioning of their Gut Microbiome. It’s like running a debugging function on your body’s algorithm.

What We Do

Gut microbiota harbors more number of microorganisms than number of cells in our body. An imbalance in gut microbiota is known to be associated with plethora of diseases like IBD, IBS, obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Vaginal microbiome plays a potential role in a number of medical conditions such as bacterial vaginosis (BV), spontaneous pre term birth, preterm fetal membrane rupture.

Skin, the largest human organ, and its microbiome is the first line of defense against pathogens. Perturbation of the skin microbiome has been correlated with Inflammatory Skin Conditions like Atopic dermatitis, Acne vulgaris, rosacea, psoriasis and dandruff.

Human oral cavity is inhabited by hundreds of diverse microbes. Changes in its microbiome play a key role in oral diseases dental caries and periodontitis, and has been shown to be associated with other systemic diseases like Colorectal cancer and cystic fibrosis.
